The 2014 Myrtle Beach Fall Classic is Sold Out!

The Myrtle Beach Fall Classic is sold out.

The Myrtle Beach Fall Classic is sold out.

The first Myrtle Beach Fall Classic is still nearly two months away, but the event is already sold out.

We framed the 72-hole tournament around playing some the best golf courses not only in Myrtle Beach but all of America, and the interest has been overwhelming. We are going to use eight courses – 2 per day – which means there is room for 100 teams and a total of 200 players.

Our golf course lineup – Caledonia, True Blue, Prestwick, Grande Dunes, Barefoot Fazio and Norman, Grande Dunes and TPC Myrtle Beach –  was obviously a big draw, as was the cost of playing in the event: $325.

While the event is sold out, we do have a waiting list, so if you are still interested in playing, put your name on the list here

It is expected that the 2015 Myrtle Beach Fall Classic will feature an expanded field and even more great Myrtle Beach golf courses!

Links Magazine Ranks Pawleys Island Among Golf’s Best Islands

Caledonia, a host of the Myrtle Beach Fall Classic, is one of America’s Top 100 public courses.

Links Magazine has ranked Pawleys Island as the world’s 10th best golf island, and two of the Myrtle Beach Fall Classic’s host courses, Caledonia and True Blue, were cited as primary reasons.

The magazine said of Pawleys Island, “How can you not go with an island alongside Myrtle Beach, especially when two of the 10 courses are Caledonia and True Blue.”

The acknowledgement added to what has been a banner year for the two Mike Strantz designs. Golf Magazine ranked both layouts among its Top 100 You Can Play, a biennial ranking of America’s best public courses.

Caledonia was No. 27 on the prestigious Golf Magazine list and True Blue was 77th. Both should make wonderful hosts for our first Fall Classic.
